This February, Blåbär Nordic Living marks a decade of bringing Scandinavian café culture and lifestyle design to Putney.
Founded in 2016 by Sandra West and Oliver Goodier, the independent shop and café has become a local favourite, known for its warm, community-led atmosphere and beautifully curated space.
What started as Sandra’s personal longing for home, has grown into a place that resonates with the community. Families, remote workers, and design enthusiasts alike have made Blåbär their go-to spot for slow living, fresh Nordic flavours and thoughtful homeware.
“Reaching ten years is a milestone that belongs to our customers as much as it does to us,” says Sandra.
Co-founder Oliver Goodier adds a cinematic touch to the store’s design, blending his experience as an art director with Sandra’s vision of comfort and connection. Together, they’ve created a space that feels both familiar and inspiring, evolving like a living set.
Looking ahead, Blåbär plans to expand its range of branded lifestyle products and grow its online shop, bringing a little bit of Putney’s favourite Nordic corner to a wider audience, all while staying rooted in the community that made the last ten years possible.
